800 Billion kWh
Data centers and AI computing infrastructure in China are expected to consume 800 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity by 2030, around 6 percent of the country’s total, according to the National Energy Administration. The agency expects annual growth of more than 100 billion kWh over the 15th Five-Year Plan period.
